About a season ago, I left my comforting world of college, internships and late night talks in the dorms for the "real" world. As spring turned to summer, I found that the "real" world was what all my professors had warned me that it was - it was fricken' hard. As I began my job hunt, I was confident that all of my internships and professional experience would land me any entry level job I wanted.
I was dead wrong. After countless interviews, resume edits, cover letters and thank you cards, I found myself confused and defeated. However, my job hunt experience ignited a fire in me to succeed and led me to an interview on Wall Street with my current boss, Brittney Levine. I immediately connected with Brittney and saw the opportunity to join her newly launched (May 2014) company, BHL Productions, as not only a chance to enhance my PR skills, but to explore broadcasting and grow as a leader. I am currently Brittney's right hand woman and serve as the account coordinator for BHL Productions. I am in a unique and wonderful spot of being the only employee of a newly launched company. This means that clients turn to me for all their needs, I pitch to huge media outlets, I speak with reporters, I appear at events right beside my boss, I guide interns, I produce segment content for television and attend shoots with E! News and PIX11 in NYC. I've learned so much, and it's just the beginning. That first buzz.
