![]() It's time to get a little social! I love New York’s Social Media Week even more than Valentine’s Day because it’s the gift that keeps giving! This fun week highlights trends, innovations, and new technologies that enhance what we do. What’s not to love?! February 23 through February 27 marks Social Media Week, which will include workshops on apps, business models and inspiring ways to strengthen your own brand. The conference boasts amazing speakers such as Rev. Jesse Jackson, Jon Oringer, founder and CEO of Shutterstock and Beth Comstock, CMO of GE. I am most excited for my lady, Martha Stewart to share her career secrets (watch out Gwyneth). The workshops and lectures will be captivating, creative, empowering and above all, educational. I am looking forward to attending “Career Building via Social: The New Reality for Budding Female Artists and Professionals,” “Quantifying Fashion’s Love Affair with Instagram: What to Post and How to Calculate ROI.” and “Getting You Closer to Your Social Customer: Streamlining Social Strategy and Collaboration.” Of course I think SMW is one of the hippest events of the year, but should you attend? If you dream of owning your own business, love social media, have an interest in public relations or are looking to network, then you’ve gotta join me! It’s time to spread your wings and get social!

My first #NYFW has arrived and it was just as glamorous, mysterious and breathtaking as I had imagined. It seems that the most hectic city in the world is even more stressed this week, armed with stilettos and a Naomi Campbell catwalk.
It was a dazzling experience witnessing my first fashion show, let alone a NYFW spectacle. I attended the Nicole Miller show and was mesmerized by the eye catching patterns and fun music. The ambiance was addictive for all influencers, models, designers and PR gals alike. My first NYFW showed me that fashion and personal style is such a beautiful and unique part of us all. The way we present ourselves showcases how we feel about who we are. It shows how we feel, what we think and who we can become. Thank you NYFW. I shall work it extra hard for you down my very own runway. |
